My friend Ted rightly ...Posted on behalf of Joe G.<br /><br />My friend Ted rightly notes that gossip can be and often is evil, particularly in an age where communication is instant, global, and generally unretractable.<br /><br />It is also, however, an age in which truth has become so obscured buy a five-decade chain of insidious, limiting, tiny-step legislative actions, government dictums and court rulings that increasingly have hidden much truth in an all-encompassing bureaucratic morass.<br /><br />In that regard, gossip often is the first and only hint we have as to what really is taking place behind the curtain on all our public and not-so-public stages. As journalists, Ted and I both have paid attention to and probed deep behind gossip to either substantiate the claim or debunk them completly and shift the public discourse back to something meaningful.<br /><br />In regard to the so-called "birther" morass, the whole thing could have been averted if that long-decaled full birth certificate had been produced and broadcast from the get-go with the start of the Barack Obama campaign.<br /><br />But then, we would not have had another years-long media saga to keep our attentions diverted truly deserving our attention.Ted Schnellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06338975463102889798noreply@blogger.com
